A ramble by the river

Yesterday, we went for a short walk taking us along the bank of the small Corsonna river - the Torrente Corsonna, in Barga - where we were delighted to find crocuses, snowdrops, primroses and hellebores flowering in profusion.

An unpromising start turned into a fair day

They seem to be packed together until you try to take a photograph!

The crocuses vary from purple to white in various grades
