From Perpoli to Palleroso

Yesterday we went back to Fiattone and walked again to Perpoli, so that we could complete the walk to Palleroso.  We had expected it would be all on the road, but soon found a marked path through the woods which was much more pleasant - and shorter!
A formidable stack of chestnut wood on the way up to Perpoli
In Perpoli.  The woman cleaning the church told us that the house just behind Barbara has been done up at much expense (swimming pool etc) by an American (or an Italian-American?), who holidays here with family.

Looking back to Palleroso.  We were told by a man fetching his wood that the large cream-coloured house with the arches and olive trees below, has been done up by a Scotsman (or a Scots-Italian?)
